ESPC can reveal the nine most popular properties on espc.com during April 2023, racking up more views than any other homes listed on the website.

The majority of the top nine properties were located in Edinburgh, hinting that buyers continue to be drawn to city living. Other popular properties spanned East Lothian and Midlothian, with a variety of home styles attracting interest from ESPC house hunters, from large Victorian villas to quaint country bungalows.

In terms of property types, eight of the top nine homes in April had at least three bedrooms demonstrating that demand is still strong for larger homes, which we would expect given the rise in hybrid working over the last three years.

With the properties ranging from £350,00 to £925,000, it also shows rising demand for larger and more luxurious properties from buyers with bigger budgets.

Eight of the top nine homes are ‘under offer’, highlighting the strength of the market despite it continuing to calm following years of high demand and high price growth due to the pandemic.

Paul Hilton, CEO of ESPC, commented: “The top nine most-viewed properties for April show us that many buyers are searching for larger, longer-term family homes that offer additional space and flexibility of use.

“Budgets are higher than we’ve seen in recent months, with half of the most popular properties exceeding £500,000 in terms of asking prices and valuations, but there are still properties around the £350,000 mark making a huge impact with house hunters.

“With the majority of properties now under offer, it is evident ESPC solicitor estate agents and espc.com is a highly effective marketing tool at the upper end of the market.

“If you are thinking of buying or selling this summer it is never too early to talk to your solicitor estate agent. ESPC solicitor estate agents are up to date with what is currently happening in the local market and have the skills and expertise to provide the guidance and support you need.”
