About Fountainbridge

If you are looking for a home in Fountainbridge, you've come to the right place.

Fountainbridge lies around half a mile west of Edinburgh City Centre, adjoining Tollcross, Bruntsfield, Dalry and Haymarket. The area's most famous son is film star, Sean Connery. The eastern end of the Union Canal, which has been tastefully renovated over recent years, starts here. Properties in Fountainbridge reflect the area's rapid change over recent years from traditional working class tenements and industry to modern housing developments.

The City Centre is an easy commute with Lothian Road, Edinburgh's new Financial District and Haymarket train station within walking distance. There is also easy access to the open spaces of the Meadows, Edinburgh Art College and Edinburgh University.

Local amenities include a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and bistros as well as the Fountain Park Leisure Complex and the many theatres of Edinburgh's West End.

Lothian Road is a fantastic place to visit for a range of sushi bars, pubs and a wide array of small super market shops. Accommodation on Lothian Road or elsewhere in Fountainbridge will be a good option for first time buyers as there are a lot of one bed flats which are quite affordable with good council tax bands. I <3 Edinburgh!
