The Canongate, an area rich in culture and history in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, forms the lower part of the Royal Mile leading down to the Palace of Holyrood. Canongate properties are mostly tenement flats and mews homes. Popular local areas include The Grassmarket, The Pleasance and Calton Hill.

The narrow closes and lanes create a unique atmosphere and excellent local amenities include specialist shops, bars and restaurants.
