Rutherglen is a town in South Lanarkshire and has a long local history dating back to the twelfth century. Rutherglen Main Street is served by Rutherglen railway station and there are also numerous bus links into Glasgow City Centre. Its proximity to Glasgow City Centre is often cited as one of its major attractions, but there is also easy access to the beautiful countryside of the Clyde Valley.
