With easy access to the Hermitage of Braid, Blackford Hill and Craigmillar Park and castle views there are lots of nice walks to enjoy throughout the year. The area has excellent transport links to the city centre from Gilmerton with the 33 and 49 on Old Dalkeith Road and the 3 and 29 on Gilmerton Road. The Royal Infirmary is also only a 20 minute walk which is ideal for those who work there. The local shops are also within a 10 minute walk and there are a variety of takeaways to suit all taste. Straiton Retail Park is only 20 minutes’ drive away. The area has good schooling including Craigour Park Primary and Liberton High schools. We are close to the city bypass just 10 minutes’ drive. The Liberton, Morton and Braids golf clubs offer fine playing. There is also horse riding and stables at Tower Farm on Liberton Drive which make the area an excellent choice to live.
