Nestling beneath the Pentland Hills on the outskirts of Edinburgh, Currie is ideally located for access to both the City Centre and Edinburgh City Bypass, which links with the major motorway networks, Edinburgh International Airport and the Forth Bridges. Public transport, including a local railway station, provides regular services into the city centre and surrounding areas. Houses for sale in Currie include traditional villas and bungalows as well as a number of modern developments providing ideal family homes. Other nearby areas popular with house hunters are Juniper Green, Balerno and Colinton.
There are many local shops including a Post Office and banking facilities with The Gyle Shopping Centre just a short drive away. Schooling is provided at Currie High School, Nether Currie Primary School and Currie Primary School and the main Heriot Watt University campus is close by.
