Cambuslang is a suburban town on the south-eastern outskirts of Glasgow on a lengthy bend on the river Clyde. The town has direct borders with Rutherglen. The town has a long history of coal mining, iron and steel making, and ancillary engineering works. These days most employment in the area comes from the distribution or service industries. The town benefits from good railway and buses connection to Glasgow and also offers a good selection of schools.
