Are you an experienced data analyst keen on influencing the marketing and business activities of a successful Edinburgh-based organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our dynamic ESPC Marketing team on a permanent basis.

About the Role

You will have the drive to be the statistical face of ESPC and to present your content in written, verbal and video format. Providing comprehensive business and market data analysis in engaging formats for internal and external stakeholders, you will manage and analyse all of ESPC's data and market performance. You will conduct and co-ordinate research projects and provide data support to your stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis:

  • Produce and present KPIs
  • Use data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities
  • Present reports via video and press statements
  • Analyse ESPC and competitor performance

Data Collection and Preparation:

  • Gather, clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Develop predictive models

Visualisation and Reporting:

  • Create clear and compelling dashboards
  • Translate data into recommendations

Collaboration:

  • Work with various teams to identify data needs and deliver solutions
  • Provide technical support and training

What We’re Looking For

We need a proactive and results-driven data analyst with at least 3 years experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have:

Skills:

  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL and Power BI
  • Python or R would be beneficial
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling
  • Attention to detail and precision
  • Collaboration

Experience:

  • 3+ years in a data analysis role
  • Corporate performance management, research techniques and relational databases
  • Google Analytics, Search Console and additional SEO tools

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Management, Statistics, Economics or related subject
