Rosewell has been a great place for us to live with great walks/mountain biking available right on our doorstep into Roslin Glen and beyond to the Pentlands or south to the borders. I have also been on some great road rides up to local water reservoirs and down to Peebles and beyond. It has been great for my wife’s commute to the Borders General Hospital and my commute to Glasgow. We have made lots of friends in the village as it is a friendly place with lots of young families for our kids to play with. There is bus transport right into the city centre and it is close to the A1 for travelling south. Great shopping is close by at Straiton retail park or at Fort Kinnaird. Plus, my wife loves the free coffees at Ikea as part of the Ikea family club!
