Gilmerton is a fantastic area with direct access to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh hospital and excellent transport links from Dalkeith Road and Gilmerton Road. Close by, there are great primary schools such as Craigour Park, Gilmerton Primary and St. John Vianney R.C. Primary School. Secondary schools Liberton High School, Gracemount High School and Holy Rood R.C. High School are also within the vicinity.
The area has fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur's Seat along with the Pentland Hills. It is surrounded by youth clubs amd numerous play parks for kids.
Within walking distance, you will find a great range of supermarkets such as Aldi, Iceland, Lidl, Morrisons and Scotmid. Cameron Toll Shopping Centre is also just a 5 minute bus journey away. Fort Kinnaird Shopping Centre and Straiton Retail Park are also both easily accessible.
