Christmas is near and it is the perfect time to dress up your home in a unique festive way.

We collaborate with many clients all over the world, especially around this time, to achieve floral artistry that naturally brings Christmas to life in their very own home.

Need inspiration? I have outlined top tips below for decorating your home during this festive season.

Choose your colour

First thing you will need to decide on is colour. The colour of your décor will help to define the theme you want to achieve and will tell a story throughout your home. For example, if you choose earthy greens, it can signify calmness, connecting to the natural environment. This ensures your guests feel relaxed when they visit during the busy and sometimes stressful holiday season. Or if you opt for an icy royal blue mixed with silver or rich burgundy tones, this can bring a sense of festive luxury and elegance to your living space.

The colour we see being in high demand this season is brown. Pinecones, wood, and tree bark all use a variation of light and deep brown tones. Using this colour subtly creates a cozy, warm atmosphere around your home, perfect for Christmas.

What is your focal point?

Choose key focal points to highlight to guests. The front door, around a mantel piece, leading up a stairway and the living room are the usual places people choose to decorate. It is not about overindulging every banister and corner of your home in Christmas decorations, as it can be overbearing and the theme can get lost. It is all about maximising the space you have. Less is always more.

Every home is individual. Our team can create custom wreaths, exterior installations, and interior garlands. We take time with our clients to really understand the theme and decor they want to achieve. Whether it is a delicate take on the traditional Christmas theme or a vivid array of tones and colours throughout the interior. We’re on hand to help your home create an impression this season.

Bring the outdoors inside

Embrace the elements. Using a real-life Christmas tree, foliage or fresh flowers looks authentic and can be achieved at a reasonable cost. Your home will also flourish with natural scents like fresh pine – a bonus that guests will notice.

Layer your décor

Add to your décor – we can include bottles, lights, and sparkles to installations, bespoke to you and your home. Achieving textures with your colour in mind is a wonderful way to really elevate your interior décor.

For example, if you choose red and gold colours then add a material such as velvet wrapped around your installation, it will create a luxurious, soft texture. Whereas, if you have gone for a blue and silver combination then choose to layer pine needles, bright lights or even glitter, it will give the illusion of a sharp, frosty texture. This really adds to the design, giving it a true festive feeling.

First impressions

The first part of the house anyone will see is the front door. If you don’t feel like a festive interior refresh is for you, then a wreath is a fantastic way to give a festive nod from the outside. The good thing about a wreath is that you can go big or small. We can create custom-made wreaths, always taking the time to find out our client’s style and preferences. Bespoke to you and your home.
