About Kirkintilloch

Kirkintilloch is a town and former royal burgh in East Dunbartonshire. It lies on the Forth and Clyde Canal, about 8 miles northeast of central Glasgow. There are seven primary schools and two secondary schools. The town also benefits from a leisure centre providing facilities for tennis, badminton, swimming, football and a gymnasium. It is a family friendly area, with a large children’s play area and plenty of local amenities.
