Hopping for a Guinness record!

ESPC is marking the end of a spectacular year of fundraising for chosen charity CCLASP (Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents), with a potentially record breaking event which you too can be a part of!

CCLASP

It is supporting an attempt to get the largest number of people in one place bouncing on space hoppers for one minute, the current record for which is 2,943 people.

In the last 12 months ESPC has donated almost £10,000 to CCLASP in support of its ‘Give us 20 Campaign’. Fundraising activity throughout the year included volunteers from within the company completing a 20 hour overnight hop-a-thon outside our George Street showroom, a 20km run and a Quiz Night.

Now, at the end of the year’s support, the ESPC team are digging out the hoppers once more and this time inviting everyone to join in! This time the event is being held at Gardening Scotland and will take place at Ingliston on Saturday 30 May at 3pm.

Gardening Scotland opens at 10am where you will have the chance to wander round the show and take inspiration from all the beautiful exhibitions.  At 2pm the gates for the hop-a-thon open where you can get practicing, and take part in a fun and enthusiastic warm-up hosted by Edinburgh Leisure, ready for the main event at 3pm.

Amy Walker, ESPC’s Marketing Manager commented, “Everyone at ESPC is really looking forward to getting back on the hoppers after the previous event in November and hope you will join us to indulge your inner child for this fantastic cause! In addition the ticket for the hop-a-thon includes access to the Gardening Scotland event that day.

Valerie Simpson, who founded CCLASP with her husband Bill, said:

“We are extremely grateful to all those at ESPC who have taken part in various fundraising events over the year and helped to raise such a generous amount of support. The upcoming record breaking hop-a-thon will undoubtedly be one of our biggest events yet and we’d like to thank ESPC for their support in making sure it was possible.

“Thanks to the generosity of corporate teams like ESPC and members of the public we’ve been able to help hundreds of families across Scotland during our first 20 years and all the money raised will go towards making sure we can take things forward and achieve even more in the years ahead.”

Take part! Join us on 30th May for this fantastic and unique event. The record attempt is open to anyone of any age and tickets can be bought on the CCLASP website www.cclasp.co.uk

Prices range from £10 for children and £20 for adults and include a space hopper, entry to Gardening Scotland and a goody bag.

We hope to see you there!
